July 30, 2012 FORE

TAC stamp set, Memento Rich Cocoa Ink, Bazzill CS, ScorePal, Asst. Ribbon

I was able to spend an afternoon and evening with my stamping friend Donna (she actually introduced me to stamping "many" years ago).  We each had 3-4 projects cut and ready to stamp and put togther and this was one of her projects.  I have a son-in-law who has a birthday coming up soon so this will be perfect for him.  Then Donna fixed a delicious dinner of mostaccioli then back up to her stamping studio for more card making, which I will post next time.

July 26, 2012 Hello Summer

Studio G stamp, cs from my stash, ribbon from my stash sentiment TAC technique Gina K., Cantaloupe Memento Ink, sponge finger dauber

This technique is from Gina K. stamp TV - the sun rays are made with a sponge finger dauber and cantaloupe Memento Ink using a piece of scrap cs, there is no right or wrong end product and for my first one I was pretty pleased - my second one turned out better but it is already in the mail. The sand was made after I saw a tutorial by Pam Sparks - and again the second one turned out better but this one is okay,.  Practice makes more perfect.

AMuse Floral Duet, AMuse Friend to Friend (sentiment) bermuda and eucalyptus inks, bermuda, bermuda polka dot,  and eucalyptus cs, butterfly die, sponge daubers

I told you with my last post I made a mistake - well there are "never"  ok hardly ever mistakes that can't be fixed and this is one of  those oops.  It is very similar to the last post but just not mounted with another layer.

June 22, 2012 Floral Duet

AMuse Floral Duet, and sentiment from Hand Scripted,  Bermuda and Eucalyptus inks, Bermuda and Eucalyptus cs, white cs, lt. blue pearls

This quick and easy card was actually card we made the other day when Patti J. was here - (another one I had cased off Pintrest I think), I used a small spone dauber to apply the ink to the flowers and the KEY to getting a great image is to stand up and walk your thumb or finger around the image.  This was a trial and error learning experience, you will see my oops in a day or two - talk about making a purse out of a sowas ear - I did it with the boo-boo.  I love that all the cardstock, and inks are color coordinated and go well together.  This is a great technique that I will use again.

July 19, 2012 Birthday Wishes

Amuse flower die set 2, bermuda polka dot/solid cs, washi tape (spring) sentiment, Pearly center from my stash.

My stamping buddy and FRIEND came over Tuesday for a "stamping session" and we cased several cards that I had seen on Pintrest - this is one of our cards that we made - so quick and easy and did I say fun to make.  The added washi tape just adds that extra touch.  I have several friends with July birthdays so this will be in the mail tomorrow.

July 16, 2012 Floaty Boy

Digi Image Whimsy and Stars Studio, DP Doodle Pantry, Spellbinders nesties, SU ticket punch, Bubbles Die CC Designs All that Scraps, copic, tags my stash

Is this little guy not a cutie?? I have had him colored for a while but was waiting for an order to come in from All That Scraps with the Bubbles Die - and how much fun are the bubbles?  They were rather tricky to glue in place but I used Pinpoint Roller Quickie Glue and it worked pretty well.  The tags are covering a smudge - love embellishments for that reason.  This is going in the mail tomorrow for a little guy that has just received a stem cell transplant and needs some cheers.  I think this just might do it.

DPDC25 Tiny Triceratops July 6, 2012

Doodle Pantry Digi Tiny Triceratops,  DP Doodle Pantry, CS asst., sentiment Hero Arts, bling Momenta, spellbinders nesties

This little cutie is from Doodle Pantry Digi collection and is free this month - just enter their challenge and follow the directions at Doodle Pantry blog.blogspot.com.  He is precolored so all I had to do was figure out my layout and cut, and put together.  Love the DP that came with him and I thought the pinked circle went perfect with this image.  Had to add a bit of bling and a Happy Birthday - and it is ready to head to the mailbox in the morning.

DPDC25 Quirky Elephant 4th of July July 3, 2012

Doodle Pantry Quirky Elephant, CS - The Angel Company, asst. bling, DP - (can't remember)

This little cutie is a digi image from Doodle Pantry which I fell in love with last month when he was introduced, I have used him several times for birthday, once for a new baby (it comes colored with brown/yellow and cute little peanuts to go with), but I thought he would make this cute modified Z fold card from Technique Junkies CD Fancy Folds. This card will be entered in the monthly challenge at Doodle Pantry and just for entering you get a "free" digi which is absolutely cute this month.   It was a snap to put together and was sent on his way to a new home for the 4th of July.  God bless our troops who fight daily for our  freedom.
