November 5, 2017 Thank You Cards

A month ago my son in law (daughter's husband) went to the doctor with a "sore throat" and within two hours was diagnosed with tonsil cancer - stage 4.  Rare cancer - but treatment started within a week - 7 weeks of radiation to the neck and weekly chemo treatments.  Brutal treatments - but he continues to have lots of faith and is doing fairly well.  Is only able to swallow liquids after 3 weeks of radiation but at least still getting nutrition.
The outpouring of love and support from their church, friends, and neighbors has been unbelievable.  Daughter wanted me to make her some thank you cards to send out so I made her 6 of each of 5 designs.  (the fifth design will be on my blog this Wednesday).  I chose to go with a Faith, Friends type card vs. a typical thank you card.  Kept them very simple.  The cards, envelopes, and a book of stamps is ready to go in the mail tomorrow.

So sorry to hear of your son-in-law's diagnosis. It sounds like the love and support he and his family have received is bolstering his spirits and helping him fight this awful disease. Your cards are perfect and will be so helpful to your daughter. She won't have to think twice, just grab a card from those you've made to quickly send out a note.
